I was at the biggest free concert of the North on Friday 19th. It’s called VG-Lista Topp 20 (The VG List Top 20) and is in Oslo. A lot of bands played; A-ha (the most famous Norwegian band EVER), Aqua (remember the song “Barbie Girl”?), Metro Station (Miley Cyrus’s older brother), Alexander Rybak (winner of Eurovision Song Contest), Jadakiss, Big Bang and many more.

The Runaways

OMG! I’m so psyched about the Runaways movie. You know, the awesome all girls band from the 70s. Not that I knew about it back then, cause I wasn’t alive. I’m only 17, well, 18 in a couple of months.

I have known about the movie for a while, but since people are starting to talk about it a lot more now, I just had to write something myself. At least show some awesome pics.

I love Joan Jett. I mean, I enjoy a lot of music, but nothing compares to her. She’s amazing. So I’m kinda worried that I might buy any fan merchandise I can find on the internet when I turn 18. And then I will be happy, but broke.

Other than JJ, I like Johnny Cash, Bob Dylan, LIly Allen, Coldplay (well, some of their songs), The Killers, P!nk, The Monkees, Aerosmith, Sex Pistols and everything else that is awesome.

Summer is finally here!

Disney… in Norwegian

Since I am Norwegian I watched all the disney movies dubbed in Norwegian. In Norway all children’s or family movies get dubbed while movies for older people keep the original language. The cinema also show the children’s movies with the original language as well. Which is probably why most Norwegians speak and write English very well.

I think the Norwegian versions of the disney movies are really good. That’s not just because I am norwegian, because a lot of people from other countries seem to agree. So  here’s one of my favourite disney songs in Norwegian.

Endings

I thought I should make a post about a couple of TV shows that ended not so long ago.

The first one was South of Nowhere. Which I totally love. I just wish the last half of the third season was better. The first two seasons and the first half of season 3 were so good. If you’re living under a rock and have no idea what SoN is, then I suggest you check it out. Save Spashley!

The other show that ended just a couple of days ago was The L Word. Which I also liked, except for the whole last season and the episode when Dana died. That kinda sucked. The last episode was probably the worst. But I’m glad a show like that was made in the first place.

The Day the Earth Stood Still

Today I watched the movie “The Day the Earth Stood Still” as you may have guessed by reading the title. It’s basically about how we stupid humans are destroying the earth and how people only change when we have no choice.

It starts with the arrival of an alien (Keanu Reeves) who is coming to earth to see if humans should be killed or not. This is because we are destroying a planet that also belongs to other life, like plants and other animals. When the humans meet him with weapons he quickly decides that mankind should be destroyed.

In the movie we also meet a lovely doctor (Jennifer Connelly), not the kind who practice medicine, and her annoying stepson (Jaden Smith).

I’m not really sure about what I think of the movie, but I’m sure it’s going to make people think.

BSG

I started watching a tv series called “Battlestar Galactica”. It’s awesome. Or else I wouldn’t be blogging about it. Duh. It’s about the war between humans and robots called cylons. The main characters consists of a weird doctor, an awesome pilot, a not so awesome pilot, some old military leaders, a female president and some pretty nice looking cylons. The cylons look just like humans by the way.

I’m pretty sure you’ll like BSG even if you’re not into sci/fi. Just watch it.

Nip/Tuck

I started watching Nip/Tuck this year and I have to say it is an awesome tv series. Except for the surgeries which are totally gross to watch. On the plus side it has Portia De Rossi. And she is not gross at all. Nip/Tuck is not like the other series that revolves around hospitals and doctors like Grey’s Anatomy (but I do love Grey’s). I’m not going to say why, because you have to watch it and see it for yourselves.

It doesn’t seem to stop snowing here in Norway. Snow is falling from the sky every day. Not kidding. Yeah, we have lots of snow every year, but this time is different. It’s 24/7. Bitch Slap

Today was pretty lame. Mainly because of my stupid ankle which still hurts. Since I haven’t done much today I thought I should talk about some movies I’m looking forward to.

The first one is “Bitch Slap”. Awesome title right? Well, I don’t really know much about the movie, but the trailer looks super awesome.

Another movie I want to see is “Watchmen”. Don’t know much about that one either, but I love superhero movies based on comics.
